Scholıad
§Pricing · Plans for every stage of an academic career

Pricing that respects the academic budget.

Choose your tier.A Register of Plans & Pricing

Three self-serve tiers and a sales-led institutional contract. Every tier browses the full public catalogue of listings; what paid tiers add is Prime listings not usually carried on the major public listing sites, deeper AI feedback on the drafts you write, and broader application management. Free covers discovery and tracking. No one can pay for rank, prominence, or a faster listing.

§ I§ I · Pricing context

What does this actually cost?

Independent academic career consultants can charge several hundred dollars for a single document review — rates vary widely by consultant and document type. Scholiad is built for the in-between work: AI-assisted feedback on your CV, cover letter, research statement, and teaching statement — many small, structural rounds a month — at a price that supports that volume.

A month of Plus is less than 5% of a single consultant review.

Use Scholiad alongside, not instead of, expert human review when stakes are highest.

§ II§ II · The plans

Three self-serve tiers.
One institutional contract.

Each plan unlocks a set of AI review features and gives you a monthly count for each — “3 of 5 remaining this month,” not a shared dollar pool. Counts reset on the first of the month for Plus & Premium. The Free tier includes a one-time AI sampler — so you can experience the matching and feedback tools before deciding whether to subscribe. Scholiad is designed to support your application work, not write for you: you write the documents, the AI reviews them.

§ IV§ IV · Institutions & alumni

Need something custom? We work with institutions and alumni.

Departments, programs, and career offices license Scholiad for their scholars under a sales-led contract — no public price list. Alumni and independent scholars are eligible for the academic rate.

  • Seats for a department, program, or cohort
  • Onboarding support for program coordinators, with a dedicated communication channel during the first 90 days of deployment
  • Data encrypted in transit and at rest; your authored content is not used to train AI models — a commitment backed by our data-processing agreement and our AI providers' API terms, available for review during procurement
  • Configurable AI-provider routing, discussed per contract
  • Dedicated customer success

§ III§ III · Compared in detail

Feature parity, line by line.

Every feature, side by side. Each cell is that tier's actual value — a monthly count, a check, or an explicit “locked.” No cumulative-tier guesswork; no marketing chrome.

All AI features review the documents you write; they do not write or generate materials. Your original draft and the feedback are kept together as an audit trail of your own work.

§ VI§ VI · Questions

What scholars ask, before subscribing.

Plain answers. If your question isn't here, write to us — every message reaches the support team.

i.What does Plus add over Free?

Plus unlocks Prime listings (sourced by Scholiad, not usually on the major public boards), the “Most relevant” relevance-ranked feed, unlimited Posting at a Glance, three Search Profiles, monthly AI feedback on the CV / cover-letter drafts you write, and application-packet assembly. Reading and browsing the full catalogue stay free on every tier.

ii.Why is Plus the recommended plan?

It is the anchor tier: it turns Scholiad from a discovery tool into an application workflow — Prime listings plus recurring AI feedback on your own drafts — at a price that supports many small rounds a month.

iii.Plus vs Premium — what's different?

Premium adds statement review (research, research-proposal, personal, teaching, and diversity statements — Premium-exclusive), the “Where to publish & present” venue discovery tool, higher monthly caps across every AI feature, and a daily digest.

iv.Can I get a refund?

You can cancel at any time — your access continues to the end of the period you've already paid for, and renewals are not refunded. Monthly and annual plans alike: if you ask for a refund within 14 days (monthly) or 30 days (annual) of your first charge, you get a full refund — no deduction for what you've used. That window applies once, to your first payment; a later request, for example after a renewal charge, is evaluated through our payment provider's discretionary refund policy, and there's no cap on how many times you can ask. Refunds are issued through our payment provider to your original payment method. If you are an EU, EEA, or UK consumer, your statutory withdrawal rights apply in addition to this policy. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for the full policy.

v.How do add-on packs work?

Add-on packs extend your monthly caps within features you have already unlocked — they never unlock a feature for a tier that doesn't have it. Packs expire 30 days after purchase and are valid only while subscribed: cancelling freezes them; reactivate before expiry or forfeit. The Free tier cannot buy add-ons.

vi.Is there an academic rate?

Verified students, post-docs, alumni, and independent scholars can access Plus at a reduced academic rate. It is an academic rate, not a promotional discount. Create an account to check eligibility →

vii.Do you work with departments or institutions?

Yes — departments, programs, libraries, and career offices license Scholiad under a sales-led contract. Write to the team and we'll scope it with you.

viii.Does the AI write my cover letter?

No. You write; the AI reviews. It gives structural feedback — the kind a writing-center advisor gives — on the draft you authored. Your original draft and the feedback are kept together as an audit trail of your own work. We never generate application materials.

Start where you are.

The Free tier is free forever — sign up and begin. Or talk to us about institutional partnerships — we approach procurement as a collaboration, not a barrier.
